You don't know where the next level actually is. You have it marked on a map, yes, but the streets aren't marked on the map, and there are a lot of dead ends. Also, the other cars on the road are trying to ram you, and there's a time limit. Someone has actually made a videogame about running late for an appointment while lost in an unfamilliar city. It's less fun than it sounds.
